The Pacific Diabetes Education Program Guidebook: A Course in Planning Diabetes Awareness and Education Activities was adapted from the Pacific Diabetes Today Guidebook, developed in 2001 by the Pacific Diabetes Today Resource Center (PDTRC). The original PDTRC guidebook was designed to help communities develop, implement, and evaluate diabetes prevention and control initiatives that captured the unique sociocultural perspectives and processes of Hawai‘i and the Pacific region. The current guidebook continues the legacy of PDTRC, while focusing on the design, implementation, and evaluation of diabetes awareness and education activities.
